Blue Willow Christmas

thumbnail_edited.jpg

 Christmas Collection, 2025.

Several things inspired this collection -- family, home, hospitality, love. Each piece is handmade, crafted with care and attention.

Blue Willow:

Blue Willow ceramics are nostalgic for me because Mother had a Blue Willow pattern when I was at home. She and Dad loved to host friends and family around the table. Mom always sets a beautiful table that welcomes guests and lets them know that this is a special occasion.

Christmas

The holiday season is all about family and home. Capturing that special feeling is tricky. I hope I've done it with these poinsettias, a traditional symbol of Christmas celebration. May the love of Jesus and the precious way he came to us give meaning to your holiday season and everyday.

Leopard print:

Inspired by a South African safari in 2023, I added a bit of leopard skin to the petals because....well, why not?

About Me.

I was working in marketing and fundraising with a local nonprofit when I signed up for a one-night paint class as a fundraising event at church. It had been a long time since high school art class but the brush felt very comfortable in my hand. I signed up that very week for a painting class.

I dabbled for several years but didn't have the time to practice the craft.

Until.....I found myself out of work after a move. First I got sad. Then I got frustrated. Then I got plum angry.

After a few tears, I picked up my paintbrush and decided to "art therapy" myself.

I still occasionally browse the job ads because I like to work! However, it's hard to drag myself away from the paint.

I thank you for visiting this site. I hope you find something you like but if not, I'd still like to hear from you.

In a nutshell:

  • trying to be a good wife, mother, daughter, sister

  • fascinated by color, texture, movement

  • passionate about travel

  • Dedicated to Jesus

The South African sunsets never failed to take away my breath.
